During autumn 2025, Fondazione Campania Welfare (FCW) is launching the first round of art residency as part of the OASis project. The residency will take place at Parco San Laise, a former NATO base in Naples currently being transformed into a public cultural hub, currently hosting dozens of NGOs working in music, theatre, cinema, and visual arts, offering artists access to an active creative ecosystem.
The residency will focus on co-creation with local communities and the Foundation’s beneficiaries (children, youth, and vulnerable groups), aiming to revitalize the park through participatory art, design, and storytelling.
FCW is looking for 8 artists (5 international and 3 locals – based in Campania) from the following fields:

  • Visual arts (painting, sculpture, tattoo, mixed media)

  • Functional design (muralism, street art, carpentry, metalwork and others)

  • Performing/visual storytelling (theatre, videomaking, photo etc..)

  • Music, songwriting, or creative writing

Requirements and added value for international artists:

  • Fluency in English (mandatory)

  • Availability for a 10–21 day residency between 22/09 and 28/11 2025. (mandatory)

  • Knowledge of Italian will be strongly valued, while Spanish language skills will be considered a plus due to linguistic proximity

  • Experience in community-based/art education projects will be strongly valued

What we offer:

  • Average €1300 gross artist fee

  • Travel, accommodation, and meals covered

  • Private or shared art studio accessible every day from 9 am to 9 pm.

  • Artistic and production materials and technical support

Evaluation will focus on artistic merit, the feasibility and impact of the co-creation strategy, and the applicant’s ability to connect and engage with local communities.

The application phase will be open until the 11/07/2025. Results are expected to be announced by 21/07/2025. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to a brief online interview to assess language skills, discuss their approach to co-creation with local communities and availability to join the art residency.
